There are several techniques to use when training a dog. When talking about training, talk with more than one trainer to see different training methods available. There are Positive and Negative training techniques out there: talk about the different ways you feel would be best for how you want to train your dog. Work on which technique works best for you and your dog. Example of a positive re-enforcement cue: ask the dog to sit (he/she sits) you praise the dog with petting and verbal comments ( good boy, good sit) as you pet him. A negative re-enforcement cue: would be a (choke collar is used when dog doesn't walk in a heel position and pulls)  for which when walking the dog the prongs digs into his neck (which can cause injuries when the prongs cut into the skin on the neck). As I am a Positive re-enforcement Obedience Trainer, I always use Positive Training Techniques.

Some people think if they exercise their dog will make them a well behaved dog! True or False?
